If you have a shopping or an e-commerce site, always have the payment methods on the footer of the website. It helps your customers to know if they should buy from your shop or not right away.
It has always happened to me, I sign up, add items to the cart, and on checkout, that’s where I find out that they only have a few payment options, it’s a bit of a hassle and a waste of time.
If you can’t add it on the footer, create a Payment Method or a FAQs page that includes the payment methods.
At this time, it’s always good to add credit card payment, since it’s easier for a bunch of customers.
Personally, I like using PayPal for payments since I can dispute a PayPal payment if the shopping site is a scam, even if I pay a bit more.
